The song "Sparkle Fade" is now also on Electrogarden and they have a cool chart system going there based on song plays, downloads, and artist page views. I've been told they log IP addresses so no one can "cheat" like on Mp3.com. So anyhoo if you feel like helping boosting us up on the charts surf on over there and play the song and give a review. It is a PHP-coded web site so like most you have to create a user name and password to listen and read articles but it's a way bitchin' place to hear Synthpop, EBM and Electronic music in general. They have both signed and unsigned artists and quite a few label reps hang out there so give us a hand.

Screeeeeeeeeeeeeech! Just hold on a minute..hehehe. Ok the Compilation CD by Shadowplay Electronica contacted me and now wants to use "Sparkle Fade" on the disc. Don't know what I did but people seem to be really into this song and well...thats cool with me. I mean I just finished mixing and mastering the thing 4 days ago and it's already grabbing some attention. I only hope the other three tracks come out as well. So I did upload it to Mp3.com but them bastards will take 2 weeks to "approve" it. So if your all interested in what seems to have caught some attention and positive feedback then you can go here Electromancer and listen or download the song. I will be bringing a copy to the Den this Wednesday to hear how well it sounds on a PA.

The new song "Sparkle Fade" has been added to the "New Acts" channel at Gothic Radio. I presume the other two songs are still in rotation. They we're on the "Gothic" channel. Tune in, request us and let me know if they're still playing "Nothing More Nothing Less" or "Zachariah's Song (Psycho Mix)" just cause I'm curious.
Our furnace has finally been fixed so as soon as I thaw out I'll get back to work on the remaining 3 tracks for the EP.

So we're going to be on a Compilation Disc put out by Shadowplay Electronica. The CD is scheduled for release around late Feb\early March. I've checked out some of the others artists on it and I have to say it's a pretty kickin' compilation. I will have copies of the disc soon so you can all get your lil' hands on it here locally. We're in the planning mode for a show in April so I should have some Compilation Cd's by then. Oh yeah...the song Nothing More Nothing Less was the song submitted and chosen...
Rock On.
P.S. I recently locked myself in the studio and cranked out another 4 songs. One is at the mixing\mastering stage and the other 3 are coming along nicely. I decided to release them as an EP. The finished song is called "Sparkle Fade" so pay attention! It's coming to a club near you SOON!
Well if your in St.Louis anyway...The rest of the planet hasn't quite got "it" yet..hehehe

So I posted a link to Gods Of Music on the music page. It's a site you can submit your music to and they will review it. I did it out of sheer boredom one night and the review is in. I will say it's about what I expected and I wasn't totally trashed. Some points made I agree with...for instance the intro. However there is a short version of the song and I only extended the song for club play. So in the context of a song for club play a long intro works fine. As for the lyrics well...they were kept simple purposely for a reason. I kept them simple and vague for a reason...it deals with a relationship. So I thought the review was fair and I guess if I had cut the intro and sang about all the sorted details I would have gotten a 10...hehehe.

Just happened to be checking some stuff on the site and noticed that once you get into the archives, that the menu gets all hosed and you can't get out of it the "normal" way. Needless to say this irritates the hell out of me because I keep having to reset the links in the menu on the archives page. So I am working on it. If you get stuck in the archives just use your back button or shorten the address in the address bar to the default URL and you can get back in the site. I'll try and get this worked out..bear with me. I love Blogger but damn it can be a pain in the ass sometimes....grrr
So I recently held a competition\contest. No one knew about it..not even me until now. The contest was to determine who would be the first esteemed member of the StykFaktor Street Team. That didn't even exist until now...hehehe. What were the unknown requirements you ask? A general interest in the StykFaktor project music and all. In other words someone willing to PROMOTE StykFaktor without wanting something in return. Look if I could get 10,000 people to join some kind of Fan Club thing and afford to give them something back, I would but I can't. So there we go.
The winner is Darkisst!
In return she will recieve a FREE CD from me personally at some point I actually get off my ass and make her one and actually MEET her. I don't actually print them up myself anymore, but for her I'll make an exception. I haven't met her yet but she's seems real cool and well she's promoting StykFaktor of her own free will. She wins...don't like it you know what you can do...:)
If you would like to join the recently created StykFaktor Street Team all it takes is the desire to promote the music on your Website, LJ, or wherever you wish and you like the music. In return at this point you'll receive nothing....hahaha. Well I will reciprocate the link in most cases and say graciously...thank you. When you all help me become a Goth\Synthpop Superstar I WILL NOT FORGET
WHAT YOU'VE DONE!
Yes I know all starving unknown bands say this but I MEAN it!....;)

Updated the Links and Visions sections. I'll probably be adding more Links soon. I just wanted to get the rest of the site operational. Have some ideas for some new material already. I figure I might as well keep at it. Lock myself in the studio and play.Haven't been communicating with people very well apparently anyway so I might as well do some work rather than socialize...bleh. Discovering something interesting... I'm getting the feeling that the StykFaktor material is getting somewhat overlooked by the Synthpop community because it's too "goth" and the Goth community because it's either to "synthpop" or just not "goth" enough. Um?...could be just me but both elements CAN exist together. Oh and yeah I tend to wear makeup occasionally...Let's not actually get past that and listen to the music or anything...oi...whoops..just me being sarcastic again. Can you tell I'm in a great mood or what?...hehehe..I'll stop while I'm still ahead...
